This site tells the history of the Kidland Estate, Northumberland. The Estate lies to the north of the village of Alwinton, just below the Scottish border. This site records the memories of those who lived on the estate in the individual farms.
In the future I hope to extend the site to incorporate the history of other farms on the estate such as Whiteburnshank and The Heigh. This originally started as a project to complete my Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award but many people showed an interest in the project; so I have put it up on the internet.
